Give Your Students the Tools to Live a More Active Life

The Champions for Life Foundation is a Canadian charity that empowers children ages 4 to 12 to develop their physical literacy. We offer turnkey physical literacy programs, resources, and expert technical assistance to schools, especially for those in vulnerable or under-resourced areas.

With our physical literacy solutions, you can help school-aged children stay active by teaching them how to move well, why physical activity is important, and how to avoid sitting still for too long. This helps them build the skills, confidence, and motivation to make healthier choices throughout their lives.

An Urgent Cause: Canada is Facing a Growing Childhood Inactivity Crisis

Alarming trends are sending children on a dangerous path. High levels of sedentary time, particularly screen time at a young age, are associated with higher body fat, poor diet and lower self-regulation, lower cognitive development, social and mental health challenges, slower motor development and reduced cardiovascular health.

This generation will need to become habitually physically active to grow into healthy, resilient adults who can survive and thrive in a changing world.

By working together, we can focus on movement behaviour change in children, for whom a timely early intervention will lead to vastly superior health outcomes over their lifespan.

Spring in Canada brings longer days, warmer weather, and the perfect opportunity to encourage students to get active.
